As many as 26 students of the mechanical engineering department of the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kurukshetra University, have been selected for on job trainee-cum-graduate engineer trainee positions through a campus recruitment drive.
Addressing the students while presenting the offer letters at the committee room on Tuesday, Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva said the requirements of the industry were changing rapidly, making technical proficiency, practical exposure, and an innovative mindset essential for young engineers.
He emphasised that Kurukshetra University was focusing not only on imparting theoretical knowledge but also on promoting an industry-oriented, skill-based, and future-ready education model, enabling students to excel in real-world professional environments.
He advised the trainees to utilise the training period effectively by strengthening their technical skills, discipline, communication abilities, and understanding of modern production systems. UIET Director Prof Sunil Dhingra said the mechanical engineering department, UIET, had achieved nearly 100 per cent placement this year.
He stated that the confidence shown by leading automobile and manufacturing companies such as Jay Bharat Maruti Limited in UIET’s young engineers would further strengthen industry–academic collaboration.
UIET training and placement officer Sunil Dhingra said that of the selected students, 15 had received offers from Jay Bharat Maruti Limited (JBM), two from Vivo Mobile India Limited, seven from Uniproducts Private Limited, while one student was selected by ISGEC Engineering Limited and one student was selected by Sebros Auto Private Limited.
The selected students are Sumit, Ajay Kumar, Rajnish Kumar, Dipendra, Parul Kumar, Brajesh Kumar, Rohit Shukla, Pinky Dolma, Piyush Verma, Mikshant Kaushik, Sandeep Shukla, Nishant Chauhan, Vivek, Sumit Kumar, Sushant Yadav, Ankit, Ratnesh, Dipanshu, Amit, Jatin, Arman, Nitin, Harsh Saini, and Nikhil Chhabra.
