Three people were killed while over a dozen suffered injuries in a road accident on the Delhi-Amritsar NH near Khanpur Kolian village on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Brijpal, Kallu Ram and Anita, all residents of Uttar Pradesh. They were migrant labourers and were on their way to Punjab when a truck rammed into their stationed vehicle. The driver fled the scene after the accident.

Mukesh Kumar, who suffered injuries, said: “We stopped at around 4:30 am when a truck rammed into our vehicle. —TNS
