3 films of Rohtak varsity selected for screening at film festival

Three films made by students of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts have been selected for screening at the Cut.In Film Festival to be organised by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) at the national level in Mumbai from February 19.

“The festival will begin with the screening of the university’s ‘A Flight of the Lost Dreamy Bird’. Two other films ‘Junglee Queen’ and ‘Whispers of the Horse’ will also be screened. These films are part of the course for students of Film and Television. The students have taken responsibility for everything — from acting, music, dress designing to direction,” said Vice Chancellor Dr Amit Arya.

In an interaction with the directors and team members of all three films, the VC discussed the stories and themes of the films. “I expect that all three movies will win awards at the 13th Cut.In Students Film Festival 2026,” he said.
