351 units collected during blood donation camp at SD Public School in Jagadhri

SD Public School, Jagadhri, organised a blood donation camp during which 351 units of blood were collected. Teachers, parents, local residents, social workers and members of various organisations participated in the camp.

The camp was organised under the joint auspices of Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha and Shri Sanatan Dharma Shikshan Sansthan. The programme was inaugurated by former Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar and Mayor Suman Bahamani, who described blood donation as a great service to humanity, saying that it could save the life of someone in need.

On the occasion, the chief guests and other dignitaries planted saplings on the school premises to raise awareness about environmental protection.

All donors underwent a health check-up before donating blood. The donations took place under the supervision of trained doctors and medical teams from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and Yamunanagar Civil Hospital. All donors were honoured with certificates, refreshments and mementoes.

At the closing ceremony, the SD School Managing Committee and SD Public School Principal Usha Sharma presented a sapling each to the teams of doctors from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and Yamunanagar Civil Hospital.
