Member of Parliament and former Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur on Saturday participated in the second convocation ceremony of Geeta University as the chief guest, where he conferred degrees on 389 students graduating from various departments. The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. Thakur also awarded medals to 13 brilliant students of the university.
Addressing the students, Thakur said that today’s youth, especially skilled and capable students, can play a pivotal role in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. He urged them not to limit themselves merely to earning degrees, but to actively contribute to the nation’s and society’s progress through knowledge, skills and innovation.
Krishan Lal Panwar, Minister for Panchayat and Development, said, “Education forms the foundation of a strong India and that institutions like Geeta University are shaping young minds with not only academic excellence, but also values and a spirit of nation-building.”
Chancellor SP Bansal; Chairperson of Geeta Group of Institutions Geeta Bansal; Pro-Chancellors Nishant Bansal, Ankush Bansal and Manvi Bansal; along with Neha Bansal; Vice-Chancellor Dr Manoj Manuja; Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Gulshan Chauhan; Dr Chandraprakash Singh; Registrar Dr Saurabh Sharma; Director of International Admissions Dr Ajit; and international guests including Francis (Gabon), Sylvester Nicholas Kompaore (Burkina Faso), Mohammed Ali Ferrary (Sudan), Paulo Daureva (Fiji), Etiklit Etinafu (Ethiopia), and Belem Alberto (Mozambique) were also present during the convocation ceremony.
