43 disqualified in Panipat MC elections

PANIPAT:The state Election Commissioner has served notice on and disqualified 43 candidates who have not deposited election expenditure details for the MC elections in 2013.

The state Election Commissioner has served notice on and disqualified 43 candidates who have not deposited election expenditure details for the MC elections in 2013.

Sujan Singh Yadav, returning officer, said the disqualified candidates were Anita, Kamlesh, Prem Devi, Rajkali and Ramwati of ward 6; Satish Panchal and Hardyal of ward 7; Tek Chand Bajaj, Ravi Sharma and Rajesh Soori of ward 8; Geeta Rani, Jyoti, Nisha Chawla, Madhuri Mittal and Satya Rani of ward 9; Govinda and Mahender of ward 10; Devki Nandan and Shakti Singh of ward 11; Jeneshwar, Baburam, Rampal Jangra and Satinder Singh of ward 12; Pinki of ward 14; Krishan, Baldev Raj and Soor of ward 21; Anuj, Imran, Manmeet, Mahender Kumar, Ramrati, Rinku, Sajjan Singh and Sumit of ward 22; and Johny, Dariya Singh, Rajender, Roshan Lal, Soorat, Jain Kumar, Suresh and Ramkumar of ward 23.

These candidates were not allowed to file nominations in these MC polls, he said. All candidates were required to maintain an account of election expenditure and submit its statement within 30 days from the date of declaration of result to the DC concerned.
