47 arrested during Operation Aakraman in Bhiwani
The teams recovered 18 bottles of English liquor, 195 bottles of country liquor and four bottles of illicit hooch
During a special drive under ‘Operation Aakraman’, Bhiwani police registered 13 cases and arrested 47 accused.
The police spokesperson said that 50 police teams were engaged in the operation, which involved a special search and raid campaign. During the drive, the police registered 11 cases and arrested 11 accused for possession of illegal liquor. The teams recovered 18 bottles of English liquor, 195 bottles of country liquor and four bottles of illicit hooch from their possession.
In addition, the police seized 306 grams of charas and arrested one person in this connection. The police also apprehended 14 proclaimed offenders and bail jumpers during the drive. Extensive enforcement was carried out under the Motor Vehicles Act and 82 challans were issued for traffic violations. Furthermore, 13 other accused were arrested in different criminal cases registered in the district.
Superintendent of Police Sumit Kumar said that such special campaigns would continue in the future to maintain law and order and effectively curb criminal activities.
