5 people killed as car collides with truck in Haryana’s Jhajjar

JHAJJAR: Five people, including two women, were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a truck near Raiya village on the Jhajjar-Kosli road here on Wednesday.

Five people, including two women, were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a truck near Raiya village on the Jhajjar-Kosli road here on Wednesday.

All the deceased belonged to Kasni village here and were travelling in the car.

The mishap took place early in the morning when the car occupants were returning to Kasni from Delhi after attending a wedding function.

The collision was so severe that two of the car occupants died on the spot while three others succumbed on the way to hospital. The truck driver managed to flee the spot.

The police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to civil hospital for postmortem.

A case had been registered against the truck driver, the police said.
