The police have arrested 67 persons in connection with the violation of the Gambling Act.
A spokesperson of the Police Department said teams of the district police, including the crime branch, raided several places and managed to nab a large number of local residents involved in gambling. He added that Rs 1.14 lakh was recovered from the arrested.
The accused have been arrested from various localities coming under the jurisdiction of the police stations of Sector 58, Mujesar, Surajkund, SGM Nagar, Kotwali, Saran, NIT, Dhauj, Adarsh Nagar, Dabua, Ballabgarh, Chhainsa, Sector 17, Old Faridabad, Sarai Khawaja, Tigaon and Palla in the city.
A total of 66 cases have been registered in this connection.
