7-yr jail to 2 in robbery case

KURUKSHETRA: A local court has awarded seven-year jail to two persons in cases of highway robbery.

A local court has awarded seven-year jail to two persons in cases of highway robbery.

Convicts Rajinder Kumar and Mukesh Kumar are residents of Kaithal district.

DSP Gurmail Singh said on Friday that following a spate of robberies, a police team was constituted to nab the culprits.

Following an input, the police nabbed Rajinder and Mukesh from Dhandh-Jyotisar road on May 1 last year. A countrymade pistol and live cartridges were seized from them, he said. Later, they admitted to several cases of robbery and vehicle snatching. — TNS
