9 complaints resolved by grievance redressal panel

The District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee resolved nine of a total of 15 grievances during a meeting at the Mini-Secretariat in Hisar on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Nalwa MLA Randhir Panihar. Deputy Commissioner Mahender Pal was also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, residents of Bobua village sought cleaning of the waterwork reservoirs to ensure that the clean water is supplied to the households. The Deputy Commissioner issued directions to the officials of the Public Health Engineering Department to take immediate note of the problem and clean the reservoirs. The villagers said they had got the water being supplied to their houses tested and it was revealed that the water was unfit for human consumption.

In the meeting, Rekha, a resident of Tibba Danasher locality in Hisar town, demanded allotment of a flat under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials concerned to prepare a complete case of her demand and so that it can be submitted to the headquarters for further necessary action.

Residents of Sector-21P also sought sanitation facilities at the new vegetable market. The DC directed the officials concerned to take preventive measures and to ensure that the garbage was dumped at the designated points.
