9,200 private schools told to file Form VI by Mar 31 or face action
Form mandatory before revising fee structure
The Directorate of School Education has directed over 9,200 private schools in Haryana to fill Form VI by March 31, failing which they will not be allowed to hike fees.
Form VI, mandatory before any fee revision, includes details of infrastructure, staff, salaries and proposed hikes. Non-compliance will lead to closure of the school’s Management Information System (MIS) account.
Private schools had earlier objected to the delay in release of the form, which is usually due by January-end.
Haryana Progressive Schools’ Conference (HPSC) North-Zone president Prashant Munjal said, “The Form VI is supposed to be submitted by the end of January every year… however, it was issued in March this year.”
HPSC spokesman Saurabh Kapoor said, “We have asked the schools… to fill their forms and upload them at the earliest… The last date to submit the Form VI is March 31.”
District Education Officer Sudhir Kalra said, “It is mandatory for all the schools to fill Form VI… The schools will not be allowed to hike the fees without uploading the Form VI… action will be taken.”
