Sanjay Garg, Additional Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education and Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, visited the Livestock Research Centre, milk processing plant and referral laboratory of the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal.



Karnal: Sanjay Garg, Additional Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education and Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, visited the Livestock Research Centre, milk processing plant and referral laboratory of the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. Dr Manmohan Singh Chauhan, Director, NDRI, highlighted the work carried out on reproductive technologies, clean milk production and also on the work done for uplifting small and marginal dairy farmers.

Tributes paid to Guru Teg Bahadur

Rewari: Indira Gandhi University (IGU) organised a function on 'The life of Guru Teg Bahadur' to pay tribute to him for his supreme sacrifice to protect humanity and Indians from tyranny of the then rulers. Jitender Singh Shanti, Padma Shri recipient and president, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Seva Dal was the chief guest while Vice-Chancellor Prof SK Gakhar presided over the function. Portraits of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Rajguru were also unveiled on the occasion.

Cleanliness drive conducted

Ambala: The MMIM organised an awareness campaign on cleanliness at Sarakpur village. The main purpose of this programme was to spread awareness among villagers on the significance of cleanliness and its benefits. The students of MBA, BBA and BCom enthusiastically participated in it. Even teachers were the essential part of it. As many as 50 students motivated the villagers to clean the drainage system of the village, aiming towards fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi's vision of clean India.
