Advocate stabbed to death in Jhajjar; Bar associations suspend work in Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh

The deceased has been identified as Devraj Chahar of Silani village, who had been practising at the Jhajjar District Courts for over a decade.
The exact cause of murder is yet to be ascertained, while the police have started investigation after registering a case of murder case following a complaint by the deceased’s father in this respect.
According to reports, Devraj was called to Chhara Chungi on the pretext of discussing a case. Upon his arrival, he was attacked with a knife. The assailants fled the scene after injuring him. Devraj was initially taken to a local hospital before being referred to the PGIMS, Rohtak, where he succumbed to injuries.
The police have formed three teams to apprehend the accused.
Meanwhile, the Jhajjar and Bahadurgarh Bar Associations suspended work and demanded swift action to bring the murderer to justice.
