Air warrior Kamal Kamboj cremated with full military honours in Hisar

He lost his life in a road accident when he was travelling on a motorcycle on Wednesday between the Moth and Lohari villages.

Kamal Kamboj, an airman of the Indian Air Force hailing from Lohari Ragho village in the Narnaund subdivision of Hisar district, died in a road mishap while on the way back to join duty from leave, was cremated with full military and police honours at his native village today. A large number of locals and administrative officials paid their last respects to the departed soldier.

Kamboj, who was an Agniveer in the Indian Air Force, had recently returned home on leave from his posting in Ladakh. His next posting was scheduled in Gujarat. He lost his life in a road accident when he was travelling on a motorcycle on Wednesday between the Moth and Lohari villages.

He is survived by his mother, Sheela Devi. His father, Kashmiri Lal, had passed away several years ago. Air Force personnel, police officials, and numerous dignitaries from neighbouring villages gathered to bid a respectful farewell to the soldier.
