Deepanjali Sharma of Ambala, who topped the MEd 2023–25 batch, was awarded the university gold medal and a merit certificate on Saturday.
The honour was presented by Haryana Governor Ashok Kumar Ghosh, along with judges of the Supreme Court of India and the Punjab and Haryana High Court, at the university’s 35th convocation ceremony.
Her father, Dinesh Sharma, said, “Deepanjali has achieved a remarkable milestone through hard work, determination and dedication. This success brings pride not only to our family but to the whole of Ambala. She also excelled at undergraduate level with distinction and cleared the UGC-NET exam on her first attempt.”
Beyond academics, Deepanjali has made her mark in literature with her poetry collection, Deep Abhivyakti. She is now pursuing a PhD under the Ministry of Education and aims to drive positive change in society through education and research.
