Ambala’s Mukul Jindal secures 243 rank in UPSC exam

He cleared exam in third attempt

Mukul Jindal (26), a resident of Ambala Cantonment, has secured All- India Rank 243 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Mukul’s father Sumit Jindal, said his son completed his schooling from the Army Public School in Ambala Cantonment before pursuing Mechanical Engineering from BITS, Pilani. It was his third attempt, he said. Mukul got motivated after seeing a number of alumni from his institute opting for the Civil Services. Mukul expressed happiness and satisfaction over his success this year.

Mukul Jindal said he chose the Civil Services with the aim of serving the nation. Mukul credited his success to his family for their constant support, and also acknowledged the guidance he received from the people, who had already cleared the Civil Services exam, those preparing for it, and those currently serving in government positions.

Mukul Jindal comes from a family with a strong social and educational background. His great-grandfather, Banarsi Das Jindal, was a freedom fighter. His grandfather, Suresh Jindal, started a publication business, which is now being carried forward by his father Sumit Jindal.

His grandmother Veena Jindal and mother Geetanjali Jindal are homemakers. Mukul also has a younger brother, Vinayak Jindal, who had completed BCom (honours).
