Armed youth decamps with Rs 1 lakh from SBI extension counter in Bhiwani

BHIWANI: An armed youth on Thursday decamped with Rs 1 lakh from the Government College extension counter of the State Bank of India here after seriously injuring the guard.

Bhiwani, November 22

An armed youth on Thursday decamped with Rs 1 lakh from the Government College extension counter of the State Bank of India here after seriously injuring the guard.

The youth walked inside the bank around 11 am and attacked guard Ishwar Singh with a sharp-edged weapon. The youth demanded cash from the cashier and was handed over around Rs 1 lakh.

The man disappeared from the bank on foot.

SP Ganga Ram rushed to the bank. Students took the guard to the civil hospital where doctors referred him to the PGI, Rohtak.
