Chandigarh, August 26

Congress state in-charge Deepak Babaria has clarified that ticket aspirants who fail to submit booth committees’ lists will not be considered.

In a message to Congress leaders and workers, he said, “It has come to light that many ticket aspirants have not submitted the lists of their booth committees to the Vidhan Sabha convener and district convener.”

He said, “It is well known that colleagues who cannot form their booth committees are not capable of contesting the elections effectively. In such cases, the BJP may exploit our weaknesses. Therefore, forming booth committees is mandatory.”

Babaria further said, “When the selection process begins, we will pay special attention to whether the ticket aspirants have submitted their booth committee lists. I urge all of you to submit these lists to your district coordinator by August 26. Special attention will be given to the accuracy of the names. If any fake names are found, it will result in disqualification of your candidature.”

Regarding the interviews of aspirants, he Babaria said, “As you know, all potential candidates who have applied to contest the elections are being personally called by my office for interviews. Following these interviews, a brief profile of each candidate, outlining their strengths and weaknesses, is prepared. These profiles will be used to present the emerging names before the screening committee.”

On the ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab’ programme, he said, “The programme created a favourable atmosphere for the Congress, prompting the BJP government to announce the Assembly elections ahead of schedule. This positive shift among the people of Haryana has increased the chances of Congress’ victory more than ever before. I congratulate all of you for this achievement.”

He said, “We are all aware that the BJP is working to weaken and alter the Constitution. We must unite to face this challenge and continue the success we achieved in the recent Lok Sabha elections.”

“We must once again guide Haryana towards development and prosperity and ensure that the SCs, BCs, poor, and weaker sections get their constitutional rights. To achieve this, we need to communicate the party’s ideology, the achievements of the Congress government, and our resolutions to every home.”
