Chandigarh, March 23
Rescued from a borewell on Friday after a 48-hour ordeal, 18-month-old Nadeem was on Saturday shifted to a private hospital in Hisar in a critical condition.
The baby was admitted to Maharaja Agarsen Medical College and Hospital (MAMCH), Agroha, in Hisar on Friday after he was rescued by teams of the NDRF and the Army.
Dr Geetika Duggal, Medical Superintendent of the MAMCH, said the child had acute pneumonia.
They had referred the child to a better hospital because the MAMCH didn’t have staff for bedside echocardiography.
She said that one lung of the baby was badly damaged and there were patches of pneumonia on it. She described his condition as critical. —TNS
