He was addressing the people during the ‘Sadbhav Yatra’ in the Kalanaur Assembly constituency on Tuesday. The yatra began from Sundana village and then moved through Kahanaur, Nigana, and Kalanaur town. Singh said the Sadbhav Yatra would cover all 90 Assembly constituencies of the state. Its sole purpose was to strengthen brotherhood, unity and trust.
Accusing the BJP of undermining democracy, the MP said the BJP was trying to dismantle the entire election process and was actively trying to disturb social harmony in the state. He also charged the BJP with creating situations of social conflict and criticised recent statements made by BJP MLA Ramkumar Gautam and Rajya Sabha member Ramchandra Jangra.
Former Union Minister Ch Birender Singh, father of Brijendra Singh, alleged that the BJP had been continuously dividing society.
“Though the BJP may have succeeded electorally, the social fabric and brotherhood among people still remain intact. From farming to daily chores, people in villages work together with unity, but those in power are attempting to weaken this harmony. The Sadbhav Yatra will continue in the Meham Assembly constituency on December 3 and 4,” he added.
