BJP goes all out to make Modi’s Nov 19 rally a hit

The BJP is trying to pull out all the stops in mobilising party workers for its show of strength at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Sultanpur in Gurugram on November 19.

Close on the heels of state affairs incharge Anil Jain taking stock of preparations for the rally, the BJP Legislature Party on Wednesday devoted considerable time in trying to make the event a success with a view to launching “Mission Modi 2019” from the Ahirwal belt on the pattern of the Rewari rally in 2013.

Modi had launched his 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign with a rally in Rewari on September 15, 2013, after being declared the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate.

This time, the BJP was projecting the Sultanpur rally, being organised to inaugurate the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway, as a launchpad for the 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday exhorted party MLAs, especially from the NCR, to mobilise the maximum party workers for the rally, billed as the party’s show of strength.

Party leaders from the Lok Sabha seats of Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonepat and Rohtak had already been told to get the maximum crowds for the rally.

With Modi’s rally at Garhi Sampla in Rohtak on October 9 to unveil a 64-foot statue of Jat leader Sir Chhotu Ram failing to attract expected crowds, the BJP was taking no chances for the event on November 19.
