Hisar, August 13

Congress MP Deepender Hooda said the BJP government had done nothing in 119 months, “what will it do in just one month,” stressing the government was making empty promises as it had nothing to showcase as its achievement in its two terms.

Addressing mediapersons in Uklana town of Hisar, he said: “Barely a month left of its tenure, the BJP government has been making announcements that are hollow. This tactic will not work as people have already made up their mind to throw the BJP out of power.”

The Congress leader took out padyatra in Uklana under the ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab’ campaign today. “The BJP government is not answering the 15 questions of the Congress because it does not have any answers. Seeing the anger of the public before the elections, the BJP has changed people at the helm, from the Chief Minister to the party state president. But the arrogance is still there,” he alleged.

Taking dig at the BJP’s “over-confidence of winning 400 seats” ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, he said: “Just as there was a minority government in Haryana, now there is a minority government at the Centre as well.” The BJP fell short of the majority mark on its in the Lok Sabha poll results, though the NDA got majority. — TNS
