Intensifying its preparations, the BJP held an organisational meeting on Thursday, which was attended by Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa, who is the in-charge of the Ambala Municipal Corporation elections; BJP state vice-president Banto Kataria; former Minister of State Aseem Goel; and BJP district chief Mandeep Rana.

In the meeting, discussions were held on election strategy, strengthening the organisational structure and ensuring active participation of party workers at the booth level. The BJP has directed its workers to strengthen their booths and conduct door-to-door campaigns to inform people about the party’s policies and achievements.

Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa called upon the party workers to start campaigning with full vigour, adding that BJP workers are the party’s greatest strength and that a historic victory can be achieved through their collective effort.

“The BJP will register a victory in the election. Party workers should firmly hold their ground at their respective booths and reach every household to communicate the government’s achievements. Organisational strength is the key to victory and every worker must recognise and shoulder their responsibilities,” he said.

Former Minister of State Aseem Goel said, “The BJP will win all 20 wards and the mayoral post with a big margin. The party has learnt from the shortcomings of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and has moved forward, ensuring that no laxity will be permitted.”

He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the state is progressing rapidly on the path of development, and Ambala, too, is making swift strides in this race for progress. The party’s top leadership will soon take a decision regarding candidate selection for the elections, he said.

Meanwhile, BJP district chief Mandeep Rana said, “The state-level core committee meeting will be held on April 19, and tickets are likely to be announced on April 20. He added that leaders, aspirants and party workers have already started campaigning, as in the BJP, we work for the lotus.”

Ward-wise meetings are being conducted with party workers and leaders. Ward in-charges, who have been appointed from other districts, have also begun visiting their respective wards to meet workers, understand sentiments and discuss strategies and aspirants.
