To woo farmers, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today said that the state government would procure all crops on minimum support price (MSP). He also announced to waive the farmers’ outstanding charges on canal water supply for irrigation. The CM made these announcements while sounding the BJP’s poll bugle for the Assembly poll in ‘Vijay Shankhnaad’ rally at Thanesar.
BJP leaders trained their guns at former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda for running the ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab’ campaign and demanded ‘hisaab’ of Congress regime.
CM Saini said, “So far, 14 crops are being procured on MSP in Haryana, but it has been decided to procure the remaining crops on MSP too.”

Govt is giving ‘hisaab’ to people
Some Opposition leaders are seeking ‘hisaab’ in Haryana, but I want to tell them that the BJP government has been giving ‘hisaab’ to the people of Haryana every year. While the Congress government used to work in commission mode, the double engine BJP government has been working in a mission mode to develop Haryana. Nayab Singh Saini, Chief Minister

The CM announced to waive Rs 133.55 crore outstanding ‘abiana’ (charges on canal water supplies for irrigation) and said, “The decision will also give relief of Rs 54 crore to Haryana’s farmers annually. All the companies manufacturing three-star motors for tubewells will be on the panel of the government and farmers will be allowed to purchase motor of any company. At present, only 10 companies are registered in Haryana. The pending compensation of crop loss of Rs 137 crore of a few villages of Rohtak, Nuh, Fatehabad and Sirsa will be released in a week.”
“The Congress has been using various tactics to spread rumours and lies to grab power. Some Opposition leaders are seeking ‘hisaab’ in Haryana, but I want to tell them that the BJP government has been giving ‘hisaab’ to the people of Haryana every year. While the Congress government used to work in commission mode, the double engine BJP government has been working in a mission mode to develop Haryana,” he added.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “The 10-year regimes of the Congress and BJP governments should be compared. While the BJP government is doing development non-stop, Congress had put a full stop on development during its rule. Haryana will be the first state where all the crops will be procured on MSP. I urge the people of Haryana to form the BJP government for the third time and lead the nation towards development.”
Attacking the Congress, Pradhan said, “Congress has been accusing us of not giving jobs, but I ask Congress how many jobs were given in its rule without recommendation and bribe? The BJP has named Nayab Saini as our captain, but who is the captain of Congress? Kumari Selja and Randeep Surjewala should answer: Is Deepender going to be the next chaudhary of Haryana Congress.”
Union Minister Manohar Lal was also scheduled to address the rally. But he didn’t address despite being present there. Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar, state BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli, Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal, Kartikeya Sharma, Minister of State Subhash Sudha, MLA Kiran Choudhry and several senior BJP leaders attended the rally.
