BJP will protect quota: Union minister Pradhan
BJP Haryana election in-charge and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan pledged that the party would protect reservation and accused the Congress of opposing the same for Dalits and other communities. He announced that the birth anniversary of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar would be celebrated across the state.
Pradhan highlighted that people from 36 communities across the state had joined hands with the BJP, including the Pal Gadariya community, which he said was associated with Rani Ahilyabai Holkar.
“Prime Minister Modi has dedicated himself to the ideals and bravery of Ahilyabai. If the BJP forms the government for the third time in Haryana, we will celebrate Rani Ahilyabai’s birth anniversary at the state level across the entire state,” he said.
Pradhan was addressing a state-level Pal Gadariya Mahapanchayat in the city and said that as long as Narendra Modi was the Prime Minister, no one would be able to abolish reservation.
He emphasised that the state government was the government of the common man, saying, “The BJP government in Haryana is committed to providing jobs without bribes or recommendations. For the first time, we have a government that truly serves the poor and has elevated the status and respect of backward communities.”
Urging the people of Karnal to support the BJP in all five of its Assembly segments and ensure victory in the elections on October 5, he said that only a BJP government could maintain the pace of development projects.
Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi’s joint campaign, he said they had started touring because they feared action against “damad ji” as the investigation was nearing its final stage.
He further emphasized the need to re-elect Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Pradhan also claimed that the BJP would win for the third consecutive term in Haryana.
