A seminar on the “Life of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar” was organised by the History and Hindi Departments of Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamunanagar, in collaboration with the Social Harmony Forum. The chief guest, social worker Man Singh Arya, and the main speaker, Ravindra Kirkole, national co-convener of the Social Harmony Forum, shared their thoughts on the occasion. College Director Dr Varinder Gandhi said, “This seminar provides an excellent opportunity for our students to learn about the life and ideals of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar.” The participants remembered the life and ideals of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar and paid their tributes to her.

Soft skills workshop organised

Karnal: The Women Cell and Youth Red Cross, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised a workshop on soft skills for the students of Kumari Vidyavati Anand DAV College for Women. Principal Meenu Sharma said the objective of the workshop was enhancing academics, hobbies, work-life balance, relationships, confidence, leadership and interpersonal skills. The students were motivated to enhance their confidence, creativity, human values, leadership and communication skills through this interactive session. The workshop aimed to empower students by providing them with tools to navigate challenges and improve their personal and academic lives.

Fitness programme at ambala college

Ambala: The Physiotherapy College of Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (MMIPR), Maharishi Markandeshwar (deemed to be University), celebrated Fit Pro Sports Event-2025. The sports fest aimed to emphasise the importance of physical activity and teamwork in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. The event featured a variety of sports competitions, including cricket, volleyball, athletics, badminton, chess, and carom, showcasing the diverse talents and athletic prowess of the participants. Students and faculty members displayed their skills and sportsmanship. Registrar Sumit Mittal said such events helped in building a sense of unity and teamwork, which were essential qualities for future healthcare professionals. The sports fest also included a vibrant cultural segment, where participants showcased their talents in dance, music and march-past, adding a layer of excitement and entertainment to the event. The winners of various sports competitions were appreciated and given awards for their performances.
