The 64th annual sports meet of DAV College for Girls in Yamunanagar was recently organised. Social activist Ashwani Singla was the chief guest at the event. Principal Dr Surinder Kaur said students had brought laurels to the college in national and international sports competitions. Recently, Jyoti, a BA final-year student, had won the silver at the South Asian International Karate Championship, she added. The principal exhorted students to participate in at least one sport activity.

Literature & Digitalisation lecture

Kaithal: The Department of English at RKSD College, Kaithal, recently organised a two-day extension lecture series. Dr Jai Singh, Associate Professor, English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, delivered lectures on “Literature in the Age of Digitalisation” and “Literature, Disease, and Society: An Introduction to Medical Humanities”. The event was coordinated by Vikas Bhardwaj and Manjula Goel, under the academic supervision of Rajbir Parashar, the HoD. Principal Satyabir Mehla appreciated the efforts of the organisers.
