Chemist robbed of Rs 3 lakh

SONEPAT:Three motorcycle-borne armed youths looted around Rs 3 lakh at gunpoint from chemist shop owner Ashish Goyal at the Baroda road in Gohana town of the district on Saturday.

Three motorcycle-borne armed youths looted around Rs 3 lakh at gunpoint from chemist shop owner Ashish Goyal at the Baroda road in Gohana town of the district on Saturday.

On receiving information, Mahipal Singh, SHO, city police station at Gohana, reached the shop and alerted the police about the armed youths who escaped after looting the cash. “Recordings of CCTV cameras in the area are being collected and the accused will be identified and arrested,” the SHO said.

In his complaint to the police, Goyal said he, along with the salesman Deepak, were sitting in the shop when around 4 pm, three armed youths on a motorcycle reached the shop. They held both of them at gunpoint and looted Rs 3 lakh from them.
