Illegal cuts have been made by villagers on the national highway from Narwana to Jind, Kaithal, Hisar and Patiala. The passers-by suddenly come in front of the moving vehicles on the highway from the link roads of their villages, causing fatal accidents daily. The NHAI has made no proper service roads, forcing people to enter and exit from the wrong side. One such spot is under the Hisar flyover, where even buses and trucks move on a broken median. This cut must be closed immediately.

Clean Choked drains
Two drains, one parallel to the old Inco factory, and another to the grain market boundary wall which emanates from Sonia Colony are full of wild grass, silt and hard material. Turbid water can hardly move. The drains stink and have become a place for breeding of mosquitoes. The administration should ensure the drains are cleared soon. Apart from these drains, Kaula minor, near the Sector-10 stadium, also demands attention.

Overcrowding at hospital
The Haryana Government’s latest order aims at limiting gatherings to contain the spread of Covid-19, but a huge rush of people at the Kalpana Chawla Hospital, Karnal, is worrisome. It seems people are blatantly violating the protocol. The hospital authorities should be held accountable for such negligence. The state must keep a close watch on all potential hotspots.

Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
