CM Saini orders action against SDO, FIR over threats; hears complaints at Ladwa Jan Samvad
He instructed officials to give every citizen a patient hearing and resolve complaints promptly
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today directed action against an SDO for installing electricity poles and a transformer in the middle of a farm passage in Bakali village.
The CM also instructed the Ladwa SDM to investigate the matter and register an FIR against those who threatened the complainant, the farm owner.
Saini issued the directions while hearing public grievances at his Jan Samvad programme in Ladwa on Thursday. He told officials to resolve public grievances on a priority basis.
The Chief Minister heard 338 complaints in total. Complainants alleged they were forced to make repeated rounds of government offices to get work done.
“Officials and employees who make common citizens run from office to office will not be spared under any circumstances,” CM Saini said. He instructed officials to give every citizen a patient hearing and resolve complaints promptly. “No citizen should be compelled to visit offices repeatedly for the same complaint,” he added.
During Jan Samvad, a complainant said he had purchased seven acres in Bakali a few years ago. He alleged that some people, in collusion with the SDO, had an electricity transformer and poles installed across the path to his field, causing him losses. He also alleged he was receiving death threats. The Chief Minister ordered appropriate action on the complaint.
The CM issued directions to Education Department, Marketing Board, PWD (B&R), Power Department, and Police Department on various complaints.
Addressing Power Department officials, the Chief Minister said the transformer at Balwinder Singh’s farm must be replaced today. “A system where any citizen is forced to visit a department for four months to resolve a grievance will not be tolerated,” he said.
He also directed officials to install a new transformer to replace the one stolen from Bhagat Singh, a resident of Muniarpur.
CM Saini said various projects have been launched in Ladwa in infrastructure, social harmony, irrigation, healthcare, animal husbandry, sports, and urban amenities. To accelerate development in the Ladwa constituency, 74 announcements by the CM were made, of which 38 have been completed. Work on the rest is underway.
The government has spent Rs 807 crore on development works in the Ladwa Assembly constituency over the last 11 years, compared to Rs 310 crore during the Congress party’s 10-year rule.
“The state government’s objective is to ensure the state’s development and facilitate the uplift of every citizen. The development work in Ladwa over the recent past proves that the government’s policy and intent are dedicated to public interest,” he said.
