Concerns are far from over for the parents of over 480 BTech first year students of Echelon Institute of Technology (EIT), which was recently disaffiliated by JC Bose YMCA University of Science and Technology, as the university is yet to announce any move to transfer these students to other colleges.

Charging the university of overlooking the interests of the students admitted this year, OP Sharma, president, the Abhibhawak Ekta Manch, said the university, which was expected to take action prior to admissions this year, had acted late, thus putting at stake the career of the students.

The parents’ body said the withdrawal of affiliation in the middle of the session could not be justified. Seeking immediate intervention of the state Technical Education Department, the manch demanded action against those responsible for the mess.

Jitender Yadav, public relations officer of the university, said the admissions to the EIT were made without the permission of the university, thus over 480 students had not been registered with the university.
