Hisar varsity confers doctorate on minister

Hisar, September 22

The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, conferred doctorate degrees on Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and Saroj Bala, Director of the Institute of Scientific Research on Vedas, at the fourth convocation held today.

Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki conferred the degrees to Prabhu and Bala.

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (HAU) had conferred the doctorate degree on yoga guru Ramdev during its convocation last year.

Later, Solanki awarded 105 PhD degrees, 135 gold medals and 845 graduate and undergraduate degrees.

Solanki said it was the duty of every citizen, especially the youth, to serve the nation. “There is an urgent need of discipline in every walk of life,” he said. — TNS
