Former Haryana Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday said the party would sweep the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state and did not need any alliance.

He, however, maintained that if the central leadership of the Congress forged an alliance with any party at the national level, it would be acceptable to the party leaders.

Asked about the BJP leadership’s claims of defeating his son and sitting Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda, the former chief minister termed the claims as “Mungeri Lal’s dreams”.
