Congress MLA flags limited job creation under Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam
Aditya Surjewala says only 958 new recruitment made in 2025
Raising serious questions over the effectiveness of the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN) portal in the Assembly, Congress MLA Aditya Surjewala from Kaithal highlighted what he described as a massive gap between the number of registrations and the actual employment generated through it.
Referring to the government’s reply to his question, he said only 958 new recruitments were made under HKRN in 2025, of which 14 were from Kaithal, underscoring concerns over the portal’s limited impact on job creation.
As per an official reply by Minister of State for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Gaurav Gautam, 14,63,428 candidates have registered on the portal so far. However, only 1,13,914 have been deployed or provided employment. Of these, 97,051 were old (ported) candidates, while 6,863 were fresh appointments, he said.
Saying that it translated to a fresh placement rate of about 1.15% of the total registered candidates, he said the overall placement rate, including ported candidates, stood at around 7.8%, raising doubts about the effectiveness of the portal.
As per official data, the highest district-wise registrations under the HKRN were in Hisar (1,46,545), followed by Jind (1,20,718) and Bhiwani (1,00,244). Similarly, Nuh with 32,562, Panchkula with 30,312, Gurugram with 27,477 and Faridabad at 23,723 reported the lowest numbers.
