Chandigarh, March 15

Congress MLAs Kiran Choudhry and Bharat Bhushan Batra on Monday withdrew from the committee set up to look into an amendment to the APMC Act.

“The CM spoke on the floor of the House that the laws would not be withdrawn and no recommendation would be conveyed to the Centre to repeal the laws,” they pointed out in a letter to Speaker Gian Chand Gupta. — TNS
