Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda has said that fixing the law and order situation in the state would be given the top priority when the Congress forms the government in the state and appealed to industrialists and businesses not to leave the state as the BJP would be voted out in 12 days.
He addressed a public meeting organised in Bawal town here today in support of Congress candidate Dr ML Ranga.
“Law and order has collapsed in the state and traders told him that criminals were demanding ransom from them. New gangs, underage shooters had emerged rapidly. There is no assurance of when and where bullets will be fired or ransom calls will come. Under BJP rule, the state has become a refuge for the criminals. The traders and industrialists should not leave Haryana out of fear of criminals, this government is a guest for only 12 days,” he added.
He assured that as soon as the Congress government was formed, the criminals would be eliminated from Haryana, just as the previous Hooda government of the Congress had created a peaceful environment conducive to investment by eliminating criminals from the state in 2005.
Deepender said the youth of Haryana were frustrated due to unemployment and drug addiction. “Unemployment is the mother of crime and drug addiction. Many companies migrated from Haryana due to the poor law and order situation in the state,” he stated.
Expressing concern over the increasing problem of drug addiction in the state, he said Haryana, which was a state of milk and curd, had turned into a hub of liquor, ‘Chitta’, heroin, smack and synthetic drugs by the BJP-JJP government.
“Drugs has reached most of the homes under the nose of the BJP government. The youth who used to become sportspersons till 2014, are becoming drug addicts today,” he stated.
