Prof RS Bawa, adviser to the chancellor of Chandigarh University, has announced that the university has earmarked Rs 250 crore for scholarships in 2026, with Rs 200 crore allocated for its Mohali campus and Rs 50 crore for the newly launched AI-augmented Lucknow campus.
“The scholarships will be offered through the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test 2026 (CUCET 2026) to support meritorious and financially disadvantaged students. Eligible students can avail up to 100 per cent scholarships for admission to both campuses,” Bawa said while addressing a press conference here on Saturday.
He added that students could apply for CUCET 2026 easily through the university portal at https://www.cuchd.in/scholarship/. Bawa claimed that in the current academic year 2025–26, a total of 9,678 students from Haryana availed scholarship benefits, of which 4,810 students received scholarships through CUCET and 4,868 through other scholarship schemes.
