DC holds meeting to curb illegal colonies in Yamunanagar

The availability of adequate police force during demolition action was also discussed at the meeting

To ensure effective control over the growing number of illegal colonies in Yamunanagar district, Deputy Commissioner Preeti held a meeting with officers of the departments concerned on Tuesday.

She said that it was mandatory to obtain a no objection certificate (NOC) from the DTP office before any kind of sale, purchase or lease-related registration in the urban area declared under the provisions of Section-7A of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975 (Act No. 8, 1975).

She directed that the tehsil office should not register any sale deed in those areas where objection had been raised by the District Town Planner office on the khasra numbers of unauthorised colonies. All tehsildars and naib tehsildars should ensure that the applicants submit the relevant NOC.

The availability of adequate police force during demolition action was also discussed at the meeting.

The DC directed that adequate police force, including women police, should be deployed to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents.
