Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda accuses BJP of moving projects out of Haryana
Congress holds workers meet in Meham town
The Congress organised a workers’ meeting in Meham town on Tuesday. It discussed strategies to strengthen the party cadre at the grassroots level and intensify attacks on the BJP government over its alleged anti-people policies. Besides Rohtak, the Congress MLAs from Sonepat, Hisar and Kaithal districts were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda sent a clear message to the BJP government, stating that the Congress would continue to fight for people’s rights and oppose the BJP’s “erroneous policies from sadak to sadhan” (roads to Assembly and Lok Sabha). He also targeted the state government over development issues.
“During the Congress regime, I had worked tirelessly to get a rail coach factory approved in Sonepat and an international airport in Meham. The BJP Central Government, however, moved these projects out of Haryana. These two major projects would have provided employment to lakhs of young people in Haryana,” alleged Deepender.
He further criticised the BJP government for appointing a Chairman of the Haryana Public Service Commission from outside the state, alleging that this move favoured candidates from other states over the local youth. “Under such circumstances, unemployed youngsters in Haryana are left disheartened and unsure about their future job prospects,” he claimed.
Alleging that the BJP comes to power through machinery (yantra), systems (tantra), and conspiracies (shadyantra), Deepender said the party had, through these means, derailed Haryana from the path of development, prosperity and communal harmony.
Commenting on the election results, the MP emphasised that the people were not at fault, rather, there must have been shortcomings in the Congress party’s own efforts. “We will work with even greater determination to uproot this anti-people government and continue our struggle on the path of truth and righteousness. Our struggle is not for power but to safeguard the future of farmers and labourers,” he added.
