All officers and employees have been instructed to ensure their presence in the office during the working hours. Salary will be paid on the basis of biometric attendance.
While issuing the directives here on Monday, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said with the introduction of biometric attendance, officers and employees would remain present in the office during working hours and provide services to citizens.
“The officers and employees must provide timely services to citizens on a priority basis. The government has fixed office timings from 9 am to 5 pm. All officers and employees must ensure their presence during these hours and remain punctual,” he added.
The DC further said all departments must issue a field-work schedule so that the citizens visiting the office do not face any difficulty. He further instructed that whenever an officer or employee went to the field for official work, they must record it in the movement register.
He has also directed chemists not to sell medicines to customers without a valid prescription.
“The administration and chemists are part of the same team, and it is their moral responsibility to prevent misuse of medicines. The chemists should dispense medicines only on the basis of the original medical card and to stamp it before issuing any medicine so that the customer records can be maintained. It is mandatory to issue bills for all medicines sold. Doing so will keep chemists fully safe from any legal complications,” said the DC.
