Devotees sing bhajans, join palki yatra during Bhagwat Katha in Sirsa
The event is scheduled from March 8 to 14, between 3.15 pm and 6.15 pm
Shri Bajrang Dal Seva Trust is hosting a Shri Bhagwat Katha at the Hanuman Temple in the Old Housing Board Colony, drawing a large number of devotees. The narration is being delivered by renowned kathavachak Braj Kishori from Vrindavan. Her melodious voice and expressive style captivated the audience as she recounted Lord Krishna’s life, his divine acts and teachings on dharma and devotion.
On the fifth day of the event, devotees danced and sang bhajans like ‘Haathi Ghoda Palki-Jai Kanhaiya Lal ki’. Lord Krishna was also paraded in a palki through nearby markets with traditional band music.
The katha highlighted Krishna’s birth to Vasudev and Devaki, his role in overcoming King Kansa’s tyranny and his guidance of humanity through the Bhagavad Gita. Devotees were offered prasad, including makhan-mishri and sweets.
Organisers said the katha aimed to promote devotion, ethical living and spiritual values. The event is scheduled from March 8 to 14, between 3.15 pm and 6.15 pm.
