This is an interim report. I will comment only when the action-taken report is submitted, which is expected by June 18.

“Show-cause notices have been issued to eight police personnel for lapses in their duties on March 10. Appropriate disciplinary action shall be taken against them after the receipt and analysis of their written replies,” said the report dated June 14.

It added that IPS officer Pankaj Nain, currently posted as the Director, Sports and Youth Affairs, was the SSP, Security, on March 10. He was the in-charge of arrangements in the parking area, where the security breach incident took place. “In this regard, a letter had been issued to him seeking a detailed statement by June 15 evening. Since he was on leave from June 11 to 14, he could not submit his reply. As soon as his reply is received, appropriate action shall be taken,” says the report.

Speaker Gian Chand Gupta said, “This is an interim report. I will comment only when the action taken report is submitted, which is expected by June 18.”

On March 10, SAD MLAs started raising slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, when the latter was addressing mediapersons in the parking lot of the Vidhan Sabha.

SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia along with others attempted to break the security cordon, but they were stopped.

A FIR was registered against nine persons in this regard on March 16.
