Aiming at spreading digital learning among children, digital classrooms have been setup in 12 government schools in Kaithal district, wherein they are being taught with the help of tablets, laptops and smart TVs.
This initiative has been taken by the International Association for Human Values (IAHV), an NGO which is a sister organisation of the Art of Living, in association with SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd under the CSR activity based its Wablewadi model started from a government school at a small village in Pune.Facing hurdles due to the Covid-induced lockdown, the NGO completed this project in around eight months. It has selected schools on the basis of motivation and learning skills of teachers and students.
Thechools have been provided laptops, tablets, printers, smart TV, whiteboard and other hi-tech equipment so that the students can avail the facility of digital learning in their classrooms easily. The responsibility to maintain these equipment is of the staff members of these government schools. This concept has been started in Government High School Mohna in Pundri Block, and Government Primary Schools in Peoda, Bhatian, Dera Pratap Singh, Narwalgarh, Pai, Kharkan, Lender Keema, Seemla, Badsikri, Prabhavat, and Kakot villages.
Pradeep Dahiya, Deputy Commissioner, said he had visited couple of schools recently. “The digital learning will also help in uplifting the IQ level of students, which will help them in their future,” said DC Dahiya.“We will review this project and further try to implement the same in other schools,” said the DC.
