After Antil and Dahiya khap, the Saroha khap (a panchayat of 12 villages of Saroha khap) has decided to stay away from the farmers’ protest. It also appealed to people and youth to stay away from the march.

Representatives of the villages took this decision at panchayat held in Jagdishpur village of the district. Maximum villages of Saroha khap are near the Sonepat-Delhi border.

Randhir Singh, president of the khap, said farmers, labourers, shopkeepers and other sections of the society had suffered a huge loss during the previous farmers’ protest. “We had participated in the previous protest and people had suffered huge losses that time. Now, they are not ready to take part in the march,” he said.
