Dr Sakshi Bisht gets first prize at international conference of European Respiratory Society India Summit 2026, in Delhi
Dr Sakshi Bisht, a postgraduate student, has been awarded first prize in the paper presentation category at the second international conference of the European Respiratory Society India Summit 2026, in Delhi. Her research was conducted under the guidance of Prof Dr Rajesh Gupta of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.
Vice Chancellor Dr HK Agrawal has congratulated Dr Sakshi Bisht on her achievement, stating that she has brought great honour to the institution.
Dr Agrawal emphasised that being part of the health sector entailed conducting extensive research for the benefit of patients and ensuring its publication so that people could gain from it and recover faster. He urged others to take inspiration from Dr Sakshi and focus on research.
Dr Sakshi explained her paper was titled “Research Spectrum of Bacterial and Fungal Infections in Sputum Smear-Positive Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients”. She conducted this research under the guidance of Prof Dr Rajesh Gupta, and it was highly appreciated at the conference, earning her the first prize.
