Driver burnt to death as truck rams into tree in Kurukshetra

A 57-year-old man was burnt alive after the truck tipper he was driving rammed into a tree and caught fire in Kurukshetra on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Nasir, a resident of Shahabad.

As per the information, on Friday night, the deceased, who worked as a truck driver, was on his way towards Yamunanagar. As he reached near Bahlolpur village, the truck rammed into a tree and caught fire. Nasir was stuck in the cabin of the truck and was burnt alive. Fire tenders were pressed into service and the body was shifted to the LNJP District Civil Hospital.

The SHO, Babain police station, Inspector Rajeev, said, “Information regarding a truck on fire was received last night and with the help of fire tenders, the flames were doused, but the driver lost his life as he got stuck in the cabin. He was alone in the truck. His family members were informed, and the body was shifted for post-mortem examination.”
