Rewari, April 18
Prof SP Bansal (in pic) has been appointed Vice Chancellor (VC) of Indira Gandhi University (IGU), Meerpur. A professor of tourism management, Bansal is, at present, serving VC of Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi (Himachal Pradesh).
He would replace D Suresh, Commissioner of the Gurgaon Division, who had been working as the officiating VC of the university ever since then VC Mohinder Kumar resigned from the post in July last year.
Vikas Batra, spokesperson of the university, said Bansal was likely to join the office on Wednesday. — TNS
