Former Minister of State Aseem Goel on Monday laid the foundation stone for the construction of seven rooms and a library at Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Police Lines, Ambala City.
The rooms and library will be constructed at a cost of Rs 65 lakh. The BJP leader said that the construction aimed at expanding the school’s educational facilities, provide a better learning environment and address the long-pending building needs.
Addressing the children on the occasion, Aseem Goel encouraged them to set clear goals in life, work hard and adopt discipline.
He also stated that experiences gained during the student life shaped a person's future, and therefore, every student should strive to utilise their time wisely and hone their abilities. Sharing his own experiences from his student days, Aseem Goel told the children that patience, dedication, and persistence in difficult situations paved the way to success.
Aseem Goel said, “Education is the backbone of any society, and the government's goal is to provide every child with modern and safe educational facilities.”
After meeting with the District Education Officer, the former minister directed that rainwater harvesting systems and solar panels should be made mandatory in all schools undergoing major repairs or remodeling.
School Principal Gurinder Singh thanked the former minister Aseem Goel for helping the school in obtaining the budget for the construction work.
