Faridabad woman arrested for husband’s murder

Faridabad, February 2

The police have claimed to have solved the murder case of a 32-old-year man, whose body was recovered from a drain in Dabua Colony here on January 19, by arresting his wife.

The accused, identified as Anu (28), was arrested yesterday and sent to judicial custody. A hunt has been launched to nab five of her accomplices.

Anu had married property dealer Dinesh in 2010. She reportedly told the police she had developed intimate relations with one of Dinesh’s friends, Nitin.

On the night of January 11, Nitin and two of his friends assembled at Dinesh’s house in Sainik Colony here on the pretext of a get-together.

Dinesh was hit on the head and strangled allegedly by his wife and her paramour Nitin, the police have said. The body was wrapped in a plastic sheet and put in a wooden box before it was dumped in the drain with the help of two other men.

The police grew suspicious of Anu’s involvement after she failed to identify Dinesh’s body, while neighbours identified it.

The other accused would be arrested soon, said a police official.
